DEFINITUAL REPORT “THE HARMONIC BALANCE OF THE MAN PLANET” 2nd Edition

The key role of complementary medicines to support the therapeutic path.
Now in its second edition, the conference “the harmonic balance of the human planet” has set itself the goal of providing scientific-informative and practical ideas regarding the necessary complementarity of intent for preventive medicine at the service of the individual.

From the academic world and scientific research, greater emphasis has been given to the necessary synergy of intent in a predictive-preventive key for the treatment of functional and metabolic alterations of the person. This gap in the field of preventive multidisciplinarity is bridged today by the key role of Complementary Medicines (phytotherapy, homeopathy, probiotics and nutraceuticals).

Interventions focus on balance: a dynamic, emotional, metabolic, nutritional homeostasis. The typological uniqueness of the person, his history (not just clinical), has been the key to understanding a path of care in the broader holistic sense of the term.
From food to medicine, it is in this vast combination that all the possibilities of improving health and psycho-physical wellbeing have passed through.

The evolutionary stages of life: cognitive maintenance in the geriatric field becomes feasible and achievable through the reinforcement of the biological soil as an antioxidant co-factor: (nutrition, hydration, movement, supplementary mineral and vitamin supports). In the season of the so-called third age, the generalized disorders related to a series of physiopathological modifications involving different organs and apparatuses have been highlighted. In this reality the need to establish a conservative and protective therapeutic path to counteract the damage of cell aging has been reiterated; that underlie senescence and its repercussions in the clinical picture of the elderly. An evaluative index aimed at strengthening the intestinal echo system, finds in this specialist medical branch a concrete possibility of maintaining both cognitive and metabolic function.

The nutritional aspect understood as specific personalized food education and the processes of mutual influence between food, emotions, mind and behavior, widely recognized by the international scientific community, has put in relation how the correct and personalized style of food life can regulate the correct unfolding of all metabolic functions involved and altered in various clinical situations (insulin resistance, type 1 diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension, just to name a few), but also the psycho-pathological frameworks evident and diagnosed (nerve bulimia, anorexia). A non-restrictive but dynamic and variegated food education has been credited as the pillar on which to build the possible therapeutic proposal as less invasive as possible. The use of specific phytotherapeutic complexes scientifically validated by research has been another cornerstone of the natural pharmacological synergies on which the innumerable possibilities of generating a genuine change of therapeutic strategy in the strict sense are focused. The recognized properties of spagyric herbal medicines have been disqualified as a basis for preventive health, responding fully to the indispensable criterion of “safety of use”.

The psychological-relational support: primum movens essential to the awareness of the person in being able to be master of his state of psycho-physical health is the other aspect of awareness of the disorder. Only in recognizing a condition is the inherent strength of the human being to give life to a new path of healing. The decisive role of the specialist medical figure will be highlighted by the speaker, this has been framed as the pivot on which the integrative strategies for resolving psychological distress are rotated, supported by multidisciplinary knowledge in the preventive and therapeutic fields, also influencing the consequences psycho-somatic typical of disorders related to changes in mood.

An articulated and personalized therapeutic path finds important allies above all in the “gentle” modification of the food-psyche relationship, as some hormonal precursors such as tryptophan, a building block of serotonin, can be activated and modulated by a food change, acting on the humoral settings of the patient; The union body-mind as inseparable psycho-physical unity and the transformation of a discomfort through an integrated psychological therapy.
From the perspective of integration, the need to interact therapeutically with complementary aids
